New Rules Since the first copies of the Rule Book are out and therefore no more changes will be made, we have a few optional rules for you to think about as you WOV: Gnomes, because of small size cannot use 2-handed weapons. However, nothing was ever said about large single handed weapons. We assume that most weapons a gnome, or dwarf for that matter, would be made for that race. However, if none are available, then a gnome or dwarf may have to use two hands to wield swords such as a broadsword or long sword. Giants, because of their large size, can wield 2-handed weapons with a single hand. You may try allowing ANY class to use two hands, but they should only count half of their Str and Dex when figuring up their weapon on their non-dominant hand. Their dominant hand would figure up as normal. The assassin, however, would still be able to figure up both hands as normal due to their class training. (Please note that using 2 weapons means no shields.) Remember that hobbies are versatile. They should be used mainly as character development, but if your character has a fasinaction with a certain weapon, that may be their hobby as well. This has the potential, with GM approval, to give them an extra bonus besides their proficiency bonus. (I wouldn't recommend making this norm because it will make characters too powerful.)
